Microsoft have just announced A New Generation of Xbox - XBOX ONE
The Xbox One, The One and Only
Microsoft announced yesterday the next generation of Xbox technology, called the Xbox™ One. It is set for release by the end of 2013.
The new system will include live TV support, a new Kinect, upgraded specs, and a series of new next-generation games.
The Xbox™ One hardware will introduce 3 innovations:
1. Game console functioning as set-top box as well - features an HDMI pass-through so the console can sit between your cable or satellite operator`s set-top box and your TV. You can tune channels with your voice, use a TV guide directly from the Xbox™, and multitask between gaming, TV, Skype, Internet Explorer and more.
2. A new Kinect - featuring voice control, upgraded microphone and camera, recognition of the new controller for simple player syncing as well as adding "additional interaction" to games.
3. New Controller - with more than 40 "technical and design innovations", a set of triggers that will provide vibration feedback, updated directional pad, new thumbsticks, and an integrated battery compartment.

Sony PS4 has been officially announced
At last the PlayStation 4 PS4 was officially announced in New York City last night. The Sony PS4 will launch at Christmas holiday season. Exact date and price are still unknown.
Here are its main features:
Hardware - An improved engine and 8GB of fast GDDR5 memory. This will allow speedy background downloading, and games will even be playable as they’re being downloaded. It includes have three USB 3.0 ports, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, Analog AV-out, and optical digital audio output.
Game Playing - PlayStation 3 games will be compatible on the PS4, and there also might be PlayStation 1 and PS2 retro gaming as well. there will also be a trial-based way of playing games before buying.
DualShock 4 Controller - The new controller has an enhanced rumble, a touch pad, a share button, a standard headphone/microphone jack, and light-up bar.
Camera - The PS4 bar has stereo cameras, and works with the light bar for motion controls.
Online - you’ll be able to scan the last few minutes of your gameplay, upload screenshots or clips and chat during other people’s games.

Black Ops 2 Has Sold More Than £300 Million In First 24 Hours
For the fourth year in a row, the Call of Duty® franchise has delivered the
biggest entertainment Game launch of the year. The highly-anticipated sequel has achieved an estimated sell-through of more than £300 million worldwide in the first 24 hours of it being released."We believe Call of Duty is the biggest entertainment launch of the year for the fourth year in a row," said Activision Blizzard CEO "Life-to-date sales for the Call of Duty franchise have exceeded worldwide theatrical box office receipts for "Harry Potter" and "Star Wars," the two most successful movie franchises of all time."
Millions of fans attended more than 16,000 midnight openings at retail stores worldwide. The game was a top trending topic globally on Twitter in 23 cities worldwide in USA and UK, and there have been more than 30 million YouTube views of the video trailer.

Wii U at E3 2012
Yesterday, at the E3 2012, Nintendo showed off the upcoming Wii U system with the announcement of several new games.
Nintendo has announced that the Wii U supports multiple controllers, allowing gamers to play together. Wii U will also enjoy widespread media support, with YouTube, Netflix and others.
Nintendo has confirmed that it is working on a method that will allow gamers to transfer Wii content to the Wii U. This will include existing game downloads and save game information, but it is possible that the transfer system won’t be in place by the time the Wii U launches later this year.
Also announced, is that the Wii U GamePad will run for between three and five hours per charge. The GamePad weights 500g, making it lighter than an iPad. Its screen is 6.2 inches but does not support multi-touch, meaning users are restricted to one digit at a time. It has a standard 16:9 ratio, just like an HD TV.

More than 10m units of Sony`s motion controller have made their way to retail since it launched in the UK in September 2010.
Sony believes that the attach rate of Move devices is about one for every six PlayStation3 consoles. Sony hopes that going forward sales of PS Move will get higher as more game developers adopt it for their incoming titles. At present, there are 85 games to support PS Move.
PS Move offers a realistic gaming experience for the PS3 system by fusing realistic, high-definition gaming along with accurate and easy-to-use controls. By incorporating the PlayStation Eye camera with PS Move, the user’s full range of motion is captured, resulting in ultimate control over how one plays the games, as well as the opportunity to project the player’s image into select games for new augmented reality experiences.

PSVita was launched in Japan last Christmas and Sony reports that more than half a million units have been sold. Europe is ready for launch and thousands of consumers plan to attend the midnight openings.
As promised, Sony launched the biggest campaign ever, including print and TV ads, sampling venues, pop-up shops, Land Rovers and mass midnight openings. Various retail locations will be visited by the PS Vita Mobile Team, who will teach consumers about the device’s different functions. The Vita Rooms sampling tour has already arrived to London and hosts a series of special events throughout the week, including FIFA competitions and special performances by UK artists.
Over twenty new games are already available for the PSVita, including such well-known titles as a new episode of the Uncharted series and an offshoot of the futuristic racing series Wipeout.
Sony claims that the line-up is “one of the best launch line ups of any games console, ever launched".
Sony have just announced this week that you’ll only pay once for any of the games you can play on both PS3 and PS Vita. Those that already own MotorStorm RC, Top Darts, Hustle Kings, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 DLC and more, will be able to download them to Vita for free (and vice versa).
